HABCO Gains International Attention at 2008 Farnborough International Airshow

Glastonbury, Conn., August 7, 2008 --- HABCO, Inc. captured the attention of some major international companies in its debut at the Farnborough International Airshow held last month in England. As a member of the Connecticut Exhibit, HABCO showcased its testing and ground support equipment for military and commercial aerospace, featuring its strong line of test stand products, including an eco-efficient oil cart and water-based fuel nozzle test stand.

HABCO President and CEO Kristin Muschett reported success at the world's largest airshow, which attracted over 1500 exhibitors from 40 countries and sold out to a record crowd of more than 140,000 business visitors. For HABCO, success at the Farnborough Airshow was geared toward building relationships and connections, said Muschett. As a result of exploratory meetings in Farnborough, we have had follow-up contacts with companies such as Northrop Grumman and HYDRO Engine Support KG based in Germany, which is a sole source contractor to Rolls Royce.

While HABCO's new opportunities are still in the exploration stage, Muschett praised the Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology, the state's organizer for arranging Connecticut's exhibit at the international airshow that annually alternates host locations between Paris and Farnborough, England. CCAT provided an affordable option for small businesses like HABCO to have a presence at the most prestigious airshow in the world, Muschett explained. By pooling our resources, the 12 companies that shared space in the Connecticut exhibit were able to boost our international presence and hopefully bring more business to our state.
