Since its founding in 1970, HABCO has steadily grown as a significant manufacturer of proven support and test equipment for both aerospace and defense segments. What began as providing support and test equipment for the Pratt & Whitney JT9D fuel nozzles has evolved into a thriving business that produces hundreds of support and test equipment, engine tooling and RFID tool control products. Along the way, HABCO has been recognized with numerous industry achievements including the coveted UTC Gold Supplier status. Today, the company is managed by an active executive team that is fully invested in the business and backed by a strong investment group. Plans are in place for ambitious growth with an expanded workforce to meet the demands of a growing customer base. At HABCO, “It Matters” is a way of thinking and acting across every customer engagement. It informs everything that we do.

Leadership

Brian Montanari : President & CEO

Brian brings extensive experience and in-depth immersion into lean practices and thinking. Having won two Connecticut Shingo prizes, Brian lives “lean.” Under his leadership, this commitment to lean informs everything that HABCO does as a manufacturer that’s aimed at providing customers with the highest level of operational readiness and safety. He’s relentless in his drive to make lean a way of life at HABCO. His impact is felt throughout everything that HABCO does as a business. Prior to HABCO, Brian held various leadership roles and positions at Wiremold/Legrand, C&M Corporation, Respironics Novametrix and HID Global. He lectures frequently as well as authoring papers on lean topics. Brian holds an undergraduate degree from Siena College and an MBA from Central Connecticut State University.

 

Paul Rocheleau : Chief Financial Officer

In this position since 2010, Paul heads up the financial activities for the company, ensuring a healthy financial entity. Paul has extensive experience in the finance field, having held executive-level positions with Bloomingdale’s by Mail, LTD and American Payment Systems where he served as President. Paul holds a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from Bryant College and earned CPA designation in the State of Connecticut while working at Price Waterhouse

Jeff Kretzmer : V.P. of Sales & Marketing

Jeff has been involved in military, commercial and repair service activities within various segments of the aerospace industry for over 25 years. Having joined HABCO in early 2013, Jeff brings vast experience to the company, gained by working in leadership positions at Esterline Technologies, Connecticut Advanced Products and Projects Incorporated. Noted as an industry authority on aircraft and engine sensing technology, he’s been intimately involved with manufacturing on the global stage through the bringing together of several U.S. and Eastern European manufacturers in unique and mutually beneficial partnerships. Jeff is certified as a commercial pilot as well as an Airframe and Powerplant mechanic by the FAA. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management/Flight Operations and is a member of the Alpha Chi National Honor Society.

Nick Zandonella : V.P. of Operations

Functioning in the role of V.P. Operations, Nick oversees and leads all of the engineering and operations initiatives for the company. He has extensive background in both commercial and military aftermarket segments. Prior to joining HABCO in late 2013, Nick served in several different management positions for Pratt & Whitney. During his tenure there, he worked in various systems integrations and operations roles. A natural leader and strong mentor, Nick applies his deep aviation aftermarket knowledge across many facets of the HABCO operation. A graduate of Villanova with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, he also holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Connecticut.
